I'm surprised to hear that -what turned you off about their road experience? And their costume prices are about the same as everyone else....most BK costumes range from $160 to $210 unless you're gonna jump in camo which was $25 last I heard.

I didn't even know people still played mas period anymore in NY, it seems like every year, we hearing less and less about Labor Day and the road. I remember when I used to have a time!! Look at this whole board, a set of posts on Carnival and Labor Day is a few weeks away, and nudding much. I hearing people looking for something else to do that day all kinda ting. So sad. Then again, maybe it's my age group

When did they add that I didn't see it before. Seems like their new thing past couple years is wait for the original sections to sell out then add 2-3 outside sections. What's the name of it?

Ok, I've heard the same sentiment from others but don't look at it that way myself. Both Labor Day and Trini Carnival have been part of my life since small, first time playing mas was in Trinidad at 6 yrs old and when I came up here my mom had me in kiddies mas and we were always on the pkwy on the monday and most years she took me to Trinidad for carnival too until I hit high school and she didn't feel I should miss school for that. I look at them as two completely different animals..Labor day is not carnival, just a chance to hear my music, put on a costume, take a quick jump and get on stink w/ family & friends...is like how going to a fete here could never be the same as going fete in Trinidad, that doesn't mean I stop going to fete here.

If im not mistaking the name of mine is the chang dynasty and all people have the option of being painted silver( the costume is silver and white but the pic really doesnt show the detail). The headpiece is what really sold me..i luv it. As far as the original sections..all of the good ones are closed, and the ones opened are just plain ugly to me.
