Pro Player - Update - It's On

I spoke with someone actually involved in presenting the Miami Gardens-Pro Player carnival last night. What they said is the carnival is still on,however, because the game is a complete sell out, the stadium cannot accommodate both events, due to insurance issues, since it will be over 80,000 people. This was discussed much earlier in their negotiations and contingency plans were made. The stadium in their contract and in collaboration with the City agreed to give them a location that can accommodate the same amount they were supposed to accommodate at the Stadium. Apparently, this will happen by close of business today. She said it will be in very close proximity to the Stadium. Also, the Marlins has five games this week; Today and tomorrow, then fri. sat. and sun. If they lose the first three, then that's it. If not, then they definately will not be using the Stadium, but some other venue closeby. So let's wait and see. By the time you NYers get here, we'll know what's happening.
