Now Just 4 Fun launched last night (Saturday April 26) with their theme reflecting the Greek culture.

Red International is expected to launch on the 10th of May (Simply Beautiful). Does anyone has info on XS Energy?

Piper and Just 4 Fun team up!

Just 4 Fun Carnival band has teamed up with one of St Lucia’s rising Soca stars, Kerian Piper for their first ever theme song in time for St Lucia’s Carnival 2008. Just 4 Fun, one of St Lucia’s spiciest and innovative Carnival bands was launched here over five years ago and has grown from strength to strength. As the name suggests, the band is all about providing fun for their revelers, not just on the road come Carnival Monday and Tuesday, but with their innovative theme fetes throughout the year as well.

This Saturday April 26 "Just 4 Fun" will be launching at the Indies Nightclub, with the first of many fetes for the season. The event will feature music by DJ Shane, HP and Levi Chin. However the major attraction will be the unveiling of Just 4 Fun’s 2008 Carnival presentation, "Greek Mythical Gods." A number of models will be on show, representing the band’s seven sections this year.

On the night in question Kerian Piper will be performing "live" for the very first time the band’s theme song "On De Road (Just for fun)" which was released this week and has been receiving lots of attention from listeners. The "Power Soca" song is a concept of Just 4 Fun’s band leader Veil Tobierre and was produced by Courtney Louis. This song is just one of four songs that Kerian intends to release for the 2008 carnival season. He has already released a groovy Soca number "Useless Tears" which has made it to the Wave’s Top 5 at 5.

Kerian is one of the most promising Soca artistes around today who made his official debut on the Soca scene in 2007 with the groovy number "Don’t Let Go," written and produced by Courtney "Curty" Louis. The track which also featured Mr Killa of Grenada, took him all the way to the finals of the first ever Groovy Soca Monarch competition here last year.

Kerian also recorded the power Soca single "Ah Coming" and in January of 2008 the singer qualified for the semi-finals of the international Soca Monarch competition where he performed "The Stage," a song originally recorded by St Lucia’s DJ Iwa. The Trinidad experience he described as a workshop and was pumped up by the time he got back to St Lucia, ready to hit the studios.

Since then he has been in studio working with Veil and Curty on the Just 4 Fun song which according to Veil should take both the band and singer to another level where Carnival and Soca is concerned. So get ready to party with "Just 4 Fun," the DJ’s, Kerian Piper and the models of Greek Mythical Gods" in the band launch which is expecting to blaze new trails where St Lucia’s carnival is concerned.

As the band gets set for their launch they also received the saddening news that one of the founding members, Perry Mason, had passed away. Mason, an executive member, is credited as contributing heavily to the spirit of Just 4 Fun and the band sends out condolences to his family. His spirit will live on in Just 4 Fun.
