Where should I stay for Nottinghill Carnival? Hotel recommendations please. Comfort and convenience are the most important aspects.

i would say in notting hill, bayswater, holland park i would sudgest the hilton metropole in edgware road its a short bus journey, tube or cab ride to the carnival route!! and is central enough to get to all the fetes and also oxford street is not far for shopping but there are planty of hotels in and around that area
