i dont think this is true most people would tell you alot of major players in uk mas scene have always been producing a high standard of mas and presentations for a long time long before the brazilians came on de road! i think mas has simply got much much better because of competition to be the best and a market is being created for it since a few bands have websites now and offering options

i know i love mas! and i didnt know UK had such pretty mas! and the prices are not bad at all!! i definately must experience UK carnival within the next 2 years...it may become a carnival that wont miss me!!!!
