Costume number 2 is from Arawak (Big Mike designs, hence why year in year out the costumes from Legacy, Power x Four, Arawak, etc...look pretty much the same).

I must say Notting Hill is always a gooden!!

Going by the other carnival thread...'carnivals that must be visited (or some such title)....we should be rated a lot more higher..cuz one things for sure our carnival aint no 4hours and done...we going all day all night..as long as we can til the authorities say no more.

yep that is so true its a MARATHON out there i tellin you!!!!

ps: preparation start from as early as 8:30 n then some are on the road from 10ish but most ppls are on the road in general from 12ish till at least 8ish n if we are lucky may be the dark 9pm!!!!

wow, some of these costumes are SO pretty!!! nice!

damn shame that NYC costumes does look like pure crappola (well not all, but most) and Nottinghill have such pretty ones.

uk people whats the price of ah costume? and can alluh convert it 2 us please if u dont mind? and is it 2 days? and can we play we mas till 12am? and actually have ah last lap...help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normal costume vary from £80 to £150 = $160 to $300 US.

Yes it two days... sunday is jouvert and childens day... monday is adult costumes!

The police enforeced new rules in the UK this year where music can only be played until 8pm on monday. so people jammed from 11am till 8pm. Its quite a long day still..

ah might b wrong but ah tink since Nottinghill is inclusive of others like Brazil in d festivities dese West Indian bands have no choice but to bring sumting good to d table or risk looking like shit on a real big stage......but ah might b wrong.......

hey our costumes are priced as follows
backline £110.00 / $200.00us
midline £150.00 / $285.00us
frontline £200.00 / $370.00us
individuals £300.00 / $550.00us

it is indead 2 days our band has a seperate theme jouvert style for the sunday an we normally start at 12-1pm and finish about 7/8pm monday god willing we start off around 12pm and as we did this year hope to be off the road by 9pm as 9pm is legally when the sounds have to be switched off not 8pm as another person stated but sometimes they give u a bligh and let you carry on till you reach home
