Mas Bands Rules & Regulations

On MONDAY, Labor Day Band Leaders will be held responsible for the following:

1. The organization of their respective band on Labor Day
2. Be at the parade starting point by 9:00 AM
3. Keeping order in the band along the parade route.
4. Only the costumed masqueraders will enter the reviewing area for judging.

NO T-SHIRT/NON COSTUMED MASQUERADERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE ON THE PARKWAY.
Bands without a permit from WIADCA will not be allowed to participate in the Parade.
Band Leaders should be prepared to present their permit to the Police or any authorized member of WIADCA upon request.
Band Leaders must ensure the safety of their band members by providing at least 10 Marshals per 100 masqueraders during their participation on the parade route.
Band Leaders must also take responsibility to ensure that promotional items or otherwise should not be thrown from the truck (e.g. t-shirts, CDs etc.)
Band Leaders must restrict the participation of non-masqueraders.
Band Leaders are allowed a maximum of Two (2) vehicles and no more than One (1) Food truck on the parkway and no more than 25 adults on that truck during the parade.
Band Leaders and/or drivers MUST NOT allow anyone to ride on the side of their Trucks or Floats. Band Leaders will be held responsible for any injuries caused by such action.
All vehicles MUST be registered three (3) weeks in advance with the Association at 323-325 Rogers Avenue, Brooklyn, 11216.
All vehicles taking part in the Parade must be insured separately with the policy naming WIADCA as co-insured.
All Vehicles are to display only those banners which have been pre-approved and authorized by WIADCA.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE PARADE

u already know not even da NYPD cud stop ppl with t shirts from jumpin lol.

So that means no Haitian truck and no Hot 97 truck...

at bands being @ starting point by 9AM. Sesame might be there by 10..everybody else whenever.

I can't see that happening!!!!!!!!!

looks like it means they will have their own bouncers and NYPD will step in if things escalates...........its a disaster about to go nuclear
