need carnival help!
I just found out yesterday that I'll be going to my very first trinidad carnival!!!!!!!!!! I know its not until February but my mind is STUCK in carnival mode. I have no idea where to begin with trip preparations though :::sad face::: What airline should I take? Is there a group going (we're leaving from miami) who we can purchase tickets with at a reduced rate? Where should I stay? What places should I visit (I know all the good places are probably hiding from tourists like me)? Which parties CANNOT be missed? Where can I get a cheap rental car? I've never played mas so I dont even know where to begin with that but I think we want to this time around. Anything and everything you all can help me with will be greatly appreciated! This trip means a lot to me and I dont want to mess it up! Thanks! Blessings to all!

:) Congratulations then SxyCayman and join the club of some very excited carnival peeps.
I recommend BWEE and you can call the Maimi group desk for ten or more ask to speak to Sybil. Rumor has it that the rates/specials are supposely going to drop by the end of this week. You also need to hurry up and book a villa/hotel asap. Hilton and Crowne plaza carnival rates are $230 and up. They have the cheaper hotels/villas. It all depends on your budget, needs and taste. Best fetes Glow you must wear white, Girl Power, Coconuts and Lara. You also have to reserve a rental car now sometimes people rent their personal cars out as well. But be very carefull driving in Trinidad. I also recommend that you try to spend a day/two in Tobago for all the great beaches water/recreational/tourist activities.
