Okay, now that I have all your attention, I just would like to ask for your help in finding a place to crash in when I come down for Miami Carnival 2k5.

Does anyone know of a nice (decent at least), affordable hotel in Miami that would be in walking distance to the festivities? If not within walking distance, I'd like at least for it to be near a metrorail/metromover stop. I'm trying my best not to rent a car for the weekend.

I think you gonna need a car. Most of the fetes are up in Miami Beach and the hang out/lime is down on South Beach.

Well my friend and i got a hotel for a good price ( check expedia.com) , but you need to act on that yesterday! As far as a car you need to get one. You can hang out down in the South Beach area but to party you have to drive , or hook up with a friend and split the hotel and rental costs!

You will def need a car or someone who will drive u. Book a rental pronto.
