disagree if you want, every1 is entitled to their opinion.
why is every1 making all this hooplah about vip? i don't know what makes ppl feel vip is any more imp., but drinks already are a whole lot cheaper in tnt, compared to the US dollar, so spending money on drinks is no scene. food? food is cheap, and all i need is a corn soup, souse, doubles, or roti, and i'm good. get away from the crowd? i didn't come all the way to trinidad, in the peak of winter, to lime n relax in a fete, i can do that at home, i came to sweat, dance n feel the music non-stop. well i guess a lot of ppl like a lot of different things. i just don't see the big hurrah of, lets hurry up and get vip tickets before they sell out. that is why i like non-inclusive fetes. i like fetes like soca monarch, brass, customs etc. i personally came for the excitement, the drama, and the bachannal, and this is why i may not be feeling the brian lara fete, b/c i'm not into all that social nonesense of wine n dine, n mingle, while the hoity-toity of trinidad come out on display w/ their riches n jewels. all of that can wait for 12am ash wednesday morning. anyways just my observation, and something i wanted to say, carry on. |

and they still go to the fetes(non-inclusive) maybe not in the front, but them and their friends maybe in the back or the sides where it's not too crowded, bring a cooler of drinks, and have a good old time. i just think it's a waiste of money. |

the food is just an extra bonus. I am too old to carry on in front the stage so I either stay in the back or in VIP. and it's just an option - nobody is forcing anyone to buy the VIP tix. |

The thing is that when I go out in the states, certain fetes, I do VIP here and you dont get food and you dont get drinks. To me, it is a bargain to be able to pay one price and drink and eat and chill for the time you are there. I might not stay in VIP all night, but I like the option of being able to stroll in there when I want to take a break and relax a little. I also like to drink and I dont like to fight folks to get to the bar. The last time I went to Insomnia, we aint even get, but one drink or two because the bar was just soo damn crowded.

I guess I go to so many drinks free parties here in FL...I may want VIP at a couple things, but I certainly do not want to end up in a fete where people mingling and chatting. Oh and rudes...I need my own bottle on the road too:p
