Jany, The Girl That Sang SPLASH, St Lucia's Calypso Queen
 Sunday July 18, 2004 ---Saint Lucia this morning crowned a new calypso monarch. She is a first time entrant in the calypso arena and comes from the village of Laborie. With a total of 782 points Jany Williams singing as Jany drove away with a new car and $5,000.00. Jany's two songs were "Having a Baby" and " A tribute to my greats of calypso" In second place was Lady Spice with 780 points and in third place was Walleigh with 730 points. Tonight it will be the turn of the Kings and Queens of the band as well as the OECS and Barbados Soca Monarch competition. |
