Cropover Mas Bands
I know its really early but i'm doing some research ahead of time. We all know the big mas bands out of Trinidad, but what are the big mas bands out of Barbados.
I want to go to cropover next year so i'm trying to get prepared. I tried looking in past posts but i didn't find anything.
any help would be great.

the big bands / hot bands are Baje international, Radical and
powerx4 these are the only main bands i know i think powerx4 get there costumes from big mike / legacy trinidad.

http://kadooment.com has a list of em all. If you lookin for more trinidad-like costumes, go px4 & baje.

Big bands in Barbados:

Baje - got links wid IP
Power X Four - got links wid Big Mike
Refugees
Outrajous - new band but was pretty large and did very well on the road.
Berger Boys


I play with PX4 and it's a great jump!! Baje is the only other band I experienced really..but overall they are all good jumps.

Me too! LOL Cuz one of my dreams was always to go to Trini carnival but I'm a full time student trying to make it on a grad assistant's salary which is not helping to make this lil dream of mine become reality anytime soon. With the amount I have saved so far I can only spend a couple days in Trinidad but will have to really be frugal with my spending if I still planned to play mas (which was the whole point of going...wasn't just to see others play but to play myself). So I don't feel like I'm going to get the true flavour of the island or mas or fetes if I go just like so. Since carnival done last year I have had my heart set on making it to next year's carnival but I think I have to get a real job before my bank account resembles anything like what it takes to play mas in T&T. But I can definitely afford Cropover so it looks like Barbados is gonna have to be this carnival virgin's first taste of playin mas and I'm actually cool with that!

ahh..to be a carnival virgin...that was me a year ago...TnT 2k6 broke me in...

I'm looking forward to next year...if I don't make it to TnT, I'm definitely going to Cropover...Baje-Intl looks like a good group...they were my IP link for 2k6 and maybe 2k7.
