No, don't get happy, that stage is only for panorama. Also, even if the carnival centre is ever finished, the bands won't be crossing that stage as they originally said either.

Than again the newspapers have been know to be wrong

Good point!

It really doesn't make any sense to me that they would build a big stage like this for panorama and not utilize it for the parade of the bands and put the judging point back in its rightful place.

Remember a couple years before they demolish the stage all the hoopla from manning and them about ppl getting on wutless on the stage? They want mas to remain in the streets to prevent ppl from getting on for the cameras...like manning was under pressure from the religious leaders. I have too many windows open now and watching chutney monarch but I'll post some links later.
