IslandMix - Soca, Reggae, Zouk and Caribbean Entertainment

All I got was the Soca Monarch and the Parade of the bands. The parade dvd is so bootleg. Every two secs they play the ad for Sweet Lime restaurant Does anybody else own this one or just me? I hope there are others out there because I'm ready for an upgrade!

All I have is parade of bands, and it's not bootleg. IMO, they should make dvds of all the popular fetes. I know that would sell.

I have that same too but parade of the bands is pretty good and no advertisment. the soca monarch one is better than what I got last year but still real poor bootleg prodcuction. When Patrice comes on it pauses and goes back to shurwayne or whoever it was before her. What pisses me off is Machel performance is almost completely cut out! Anyway, I just keep watching the eat a food part esp where they do the bunji and machel imitations.

Well it's not a bootleg just the quality of the coverage. The sweet lime ad that comes on every couple secs while somebody in the middle of a juk or whines is so annoying I bought it down there from a legit record store though for
$198TT. The Soca Monarch is fine, but I think I watched it one times too many! The Inside Carnival DVD is good but that usually come out later on in the year.....

Where did you guys get your parade of the band dvds?
What does the cover look like...I may get this version.

I bought mine at Booksellers at West Mall. Girls in a white costume (kinda like goddess but its not) on the cover.

I got my parade of the bands DVD @ Rhyner's in the airport. It has the hip and leg of a female in Nylon Pool costume (yeah a 2006 costume) with Parade of the Bands 2007 tattooed on her. Mine does not have the Sweet Lime ad in it though.

The SM dvd has a little better quality than last year. Advance Dynamics need to step up their game.

I bought mine in Cleeves, I believe it's on Fredrick Street. I believe it's produced by the same people who produce Inside Carnival. I wanted to buy that one but it wasn't out yet, I will get it when I go back down in August.

Ok, I'll have my cuz get me those two dvds. I hope they have an Inside Carnival 2k7 dvd in truth..I didn't see them advertise it like last year! I have the 2k5 and 2k6 those are boss carnival dvds.

i thought my own was the only one with machel part cut out ...i can't believe u keep watching eat some food part ......lol i know it is funny !

JW and Blaze are imps that had me dying.....My soca monarch dvd is the same as you guys as well....
