I have had mixed results with Baltimore Carnival. One year I went down there and it was great. It was the year that they had it end in the Pimlico Racetrack Parking lot. The vibes were real nice.
Another year I went and was so bored that I headed over to the Inner Harbor, got some seafood and said forget this shite.

I went once...neighborhood people didn't quite understand the concept of powder. Though they did give it a whirl, hey seemed to think it meant open the top & dump the contents on the person nearest you.

Baltimore carnival can be plenty fun if you know what to expect and you go with the right people............

under all seriousness baltimore has one of the best parade routes for a carnival on the east coast but the carnival itself is poorly promoted and hardly anybody ever wants to go.......if they get their act together and make people want to come it could turn out to be one of the better carnivals around....

They used to hold B-More Carnival the Saturday after Labor Day but Long Island Carnival killed that. All of us Brooklyn people took the 20-30 minute ride rather than the 3.5 hour ride.

Bmore Carnival sucks...both of them. I'd rather sit at home and watch the grass grow

It used to be nice tho...nicer than DC.

The carnival has gone through serious changes
In the earlies it was better than DC then the bachannal happened, the folks who used to run out were booted out and it has been struggling ever since.
it is growing and if folks come out to support it will be nice.
last year they had traffik on sunday and i had a time in mud saturday...
i will support it like i do all things for the culture and when it hot again, i'll know that my small part helped.
one thing for sure, it won't end at 3pm
