Beautiful Denika Hospedales models two versions of the “Trinirabia” section, designed by Marion George, for Trini Revellers’ 2004 presentation, The Arabian Nights.

Do you know who will be providing the music, and if their energy is high enough for you? Who is planning an enjoyable, safe, vibrant and convenient Carnival Monday and Tuesday for you?

The answers to these questions are available by AKIN, the newest section-producing team to come out of Newtown. Come Carnival 2004, AKIN will present “Trinirabia,” designed by Marion George, in Trini Revellers’ presentation of The Arabian Nights.


The costume combines all the ingredients fun people look for in a well designed portrayal, like authenticity, looking sexy while still being covered, comfort.

AKIN spokesperson Ingrid Lashley said “Trinirabia” will cater to everyone and all tastes. She added: “If you want to look sexy, show some skin; you can. If you’re somewhat conservative, not as slim as you used to be; no problem. We cater to all your likes and needs with a costume which is tailored to your taste, figure and style.”

Beside Lashley, AKIN comprises Anne Marie Placide, Keith Leggard and Nichola Armstrong.

Road music will be supplied by Blue Ventures, Triveni, DJ Production Sounds and bpTT Renegades. AKIN’s mas can be found...

its not a bad concept, but they could have been more creative...... there are so many pretty belly dancing outfit designs ... they could have at least done some reseach...
