Anyone know the criteria for selecting "Band of the Year" and who judges it?
Hello,
I am an American who recently came from Trinidad Carnival. I loved the entire 10 days I was there but I did not understand the actual two days of Carnival in terms of selection of Band of the Year, the different judging points and what the criteria is for selecting the winner. Also, where would I go to find out the list of winners? I thank you in advance for any enlightenment I may receive. G |

What song the DJ selects to play is, or at least should be, based upon input from the mas bandleaders and should reflect the consensus of the masqueraders...some question whether this process actually works without corrupting influences. |
