Carnival enthusiasts in New York know that if it’s June then it’s band launch season time. This year, as with the last three, one of the first bands to unveil its offering for this the 45th annual West Indian American Day Carnival parade (held on the first Monday in September – Labor Day – along Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn NY) will be KARMA Carnival Band. KARMA, which picked up the 2nd Place Small Band Of The Year title in the parade last year for their stellar portrayal of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, got a jump on the competition when, in an unprecedented move for a band in Brooklyn, they sneak peeked one of their offerings out of their 2012 presentation at their 2011 end of year holiday appreciation party. But come Sunday June 3rd KARMA Carnival Band will formerly kick off its fourth season when it officially launches its 2012 portrayal “LOST”.

In what is sure to be an epic presentation, the band beckons all to KARMA-long and join its search party as it embarks upon a quest in search of civilizations, actual and fictitious, that share the common fate of having been “LOST’ with the passage of time. Civilizations yet discovered, whose actual locations, and in some instances very existence, remain a mystery; and others which actually existed in more than just the imagination conjured up in the pages of fiction, whose inhabitants are long gone and whose architecture, or rather what’s left of it, lie abandoned.
Team KARMA would like to let its masqueraders know that it was a pleasure serving them in 2011, in what was the band’s most successful year to date. Over the past months the team has been taking stock of the lessons of the past seasons, learning from and correcting any slip ups and maintaining and even improving on where they’ve went right. And from this 2012 carnival season onwards, KARMA hopes to establish itself as the “priMium mas band”, offering a prime quality and premium service experience from start to finish. In addition to assuring professional and unrivaled quality and service, the KARMA priMium Experience will also provide masqueraders with competitive prices and an overall safe and enjoyable environment at all our events and especially on the road come Labor Day.
So on Sunday June 3rd dare to unleash your inner adventurer and join KARMA as they scour the far reaches of the earth and unveil their discoveries from their quest to find that which once was “LOST”.
