This sounds all too familiar! My parents had me when they were young, so they would call each other by their first names and I hooked on to those names! Unlike my lil sister she was calling them mommy and daddy! They never scolded me for doing so nor was I disrespectful to them! I guess it's up to the parents, but I'm sure to teach my children that I'm Mommy and that's Daddy! But in most cultures they have other pet names fuh the parents! |
