i think they just need to have the haitians go out earlier. the problem is crowd management. they always go out late and draw the big crowds. and they always have like 5 trucks on the road. let the haitians go out early. it will be a lesser crowd, more manageable crowd. send hot 97 earlier too. maybe bout 2 or so. then once that large crowd past the end point, that is it. they cant come back. that eliminates a bunch of people from the street, and the rest of the bands will be more manageable.

You are right about "the problem being crowd mangement."
If we could get the Haitian type trucks to come earlier that would be great.
However, the people who follow these trucks tend to come late and the real mas lovers tend to come earlier. I know real mas lovers who would love to just see the custumed bands and then go home.
Remember its the younger people who want to get in those big crowds.
Hell, up to a couple of years ago that was my thing too. My parents and older people couldnt understand that.
In fact some of you guys sound just like my parents use to sound. Part of some of youall problem (not all) is that you are getting OLD. Own it. |
