I could never quite grasp your organization's spin around such a clear teaching in the Bible. Is it because it just sounds so harsh and it conflicts with, well, the idea of a "loving God?" There are other brutalities [allegedly] ordered by God (well through his so-called "divinely inspired mouthpieces") in the Bible so believing, through the written word, he could toss people into everlasting torment would not be a stretch. |
