Seriously cover is serious ting there, when I would take public transport, which was about 90% when I was in school, I would wear hijab, even in the capital (which is predominently Christian)...it's like a nun's habit. Even the rudest most disrespectful drunkard wouldnt dare bother a muslim woman.
Ironically, going down to Mombasa, I would wear 3/4th but no hijab and I got along just fine, and that was just in town. On the beach and at everything near the resorts, we wore shorts and bokonos....without so much as a bad link from the public, men or women. |
