Our own personal gripe that he supplants 'better' more established and more genuine reggae acts shouldn't prevent us from giving him the li'l bit ah props he deserves...he ent the one proclaiming himself great after all, ent his fault.

To be clear, I never have a gripe wit him or any artist tryin to do their thing. Everybody entitle to try their hand, talent or no talent, which (for the most part) is subjective anyways. There are a few "mainstream" (as far as reggae is concerned) acts that plenty ppl love that I think are overrated too, so it ain have nuthin to do wit him.
But like ya said, it ain nuthing special, it's the gimmick and the catering to an audience and all the extra realities of the world, outside of ppl just dealing with the quality of the music. That's life. |
