I feel bad about the situation, but she refuses to leave, she is simply not giving up on her country. The government is not helping the people at all. She said that going to the market is a stress. Every thing has doubled in price and there is a real shortage of food.

yup...the same is true with my mom's friend...he he and his family travel to the US but because they only have visas--if they desided to stay uphere and give it all up, they'd be living here illegally and would loose everything in order to start over. It's really hard. Especially when he (like many other families), built his own home brick by brick---to have it taken away along with life as he knows it---is very difficult.
